Web19 mag 2015 · this is the radio i am installing: i have the detachable face plate installed on the right hand corner of the glove box. i mean the only issue with that is, if we are in a wreck, i hope the passenger doesn't hit his knee on the metal bracket holding it up. i will post a picture of the install later, couldn't find another good spot for it.

I recommend using Icom's own power cable, either the OPC-347 or OPC-1132 or similar and run it through the firewall to the battery.
