WebI don't think Public Folders show up in the GAL. Or do you have an email address assigned to the Public Folder? When I needed to 'hide' public folders I would set up a permissions on the public folder for 'PF-ABC-Visible' and 'PF-ABC-NotVisible', assign users to those groups, and then permissions to the public folders based on those groups.
